ARE YOU RELATED TO LOUISVILLE GEEK?

Yes! For those of you who may not be aware, Louisville Geek is our big brother (it’s OK we are theirs big brother in basketball). Louisville Geek started back in 2004 and quickly grew into one of the fastest growing Managed Services Providers (MSP) in Kentucky.

As Lexington (and Central KY in general) continues to grow and local businesses continue to flourish, so has the demand for tech support. And that’s why we opened Lexington Geek.

ARE YOU AFFILIATED WITH GEEK SQUAD?

Negative. We are a different breed of Geeks. Though we share part of a name, one is owned by Best Buy and does $51 billion in revenue and the other does not.

(LexGeek isn’t owned by Best Buy)

DO YOU PROVIDE IT SERVICE TO BUSINESSES OUTSIDE OF LEXINGTON?

Yes! Back in the day, resolving day-to-day technology issues required a technician to go onsite to resolve most technical issues. These days, almost all of our troubleshooting can be done remotely so we can provide services to businesses all over the country. Lexington, KY is a hub where some of our Geeks reside (hence the name).

WHO ARE YOUR MAIN COMPETITORS?

In Lexington, our main competitors are Netgain and 46 Solutions. Netgain started in Lexington in 1984 and has experienced rapid growth since their inception. They now have offices and data centers in Chicago, Minneapolis, San Diego and Phoenix and provide services nationwide. They’ve also been recognized for multiple awards, including the CRN MSP 500 and Best Places to Work. 46Solutions launched in 2019 and provided IT services, cybersecurity, and audio/video integration.

WHAT MAKES YOU BETTER THAN YOUR COMPETITORS?

Our services are completely free! Beat that, Netgain.

Jokes aside, the fact that there are competitors in the market means there is a demand for the services we provide. We view that as a positive.

Technology moves fast. Like Secretariat fast. So if you’re spending time worrying about the competition, you’ll get left in the dust.

Since we opened our doors in Louisville in 2004, we’ve adopted a “control what you can control” mindset. We focus on ways to consistently improve ourselves. Our technicians are incentivized for completing technical training courses and other ongoing education programs. All of our key performance indicators (KPIs), Rocks (EOS milestones) and company-wide goals are all centered around improvement.

We think what sets us apart from other MSPs is our commitment. You could interview a handful of our clients and, even though we aren’t always perfect, they’ll attest to the notion that we stay until the job is complete.

DO YOU OFFER FLAT-RATE PRICING?

  • Number of employees
